From the supplier: There are 5 waveguides in one chip with the same period but different dimensions. The 4^th one gives you the best efficiency after our test. You can try with other ones, but we do not guarantee the performance.

From the supplier: "The waveguide is identical at input/ output facets, as they have some AR coating. You can pump from both directions. The aperture is quite small; you need to get the light into the facet as much as possible. … The aperture size of the waveguide is about 11.5um x 12um."
